Why my data doesn't update instantly
Updated July 22, 2026
Analyzing social networks takes time, so ContentScout refreshes each section on its own cadence rather than live. Each section shows its "updates every…" message so you know when to expect fresh data.
How often each section updates
- Competitors (radar): we analyze posts from the creators you track every 24h.
- Comments (sentiment): we analyze your audience's reactions every 48h.
- Trends: we detect new trends every 24h.
- Topics: they don't update on their own; re-run a search whenever you want fresh results.
If you connected networks or changed who you track
When you add one of your own networks or change the creators you track, ContentScout needs to analyze them from scratch. Your first analysis is usually ready within the first 24 hours: give it that window before worrying.
The paused-analysis notice
If you don't open ContentScout for a while, some analyses pause to save resources. You don't lose anything: they resume on their own on your next visit and your data catches up over the following hours.
Radar and sentiment analysis update automatically while your subscription is active. If your plan isn't active, reactivate it from Subscription so they run again.
When to contact support
If several days have passed since you connected your networks and a section is still empty, first check that your social profiles are spelled correctly in Creator Identity. If everything looks right and you still see no data, reach out from the Help button at the bottom of the sidebar.
