What to expect from your first analysis
Updated August 10, 2026
At signup we ask for just two things: one of your own networks and one competitor. From there, ContentScout kicks off your initial analysis automatically. It runs on its own and the results appear without reloading the page; it usually takes a few minutes.
What lands with the first analysis
- Your posts and metrics: your account's Overview view in Tracking, with followers, views, and engagement.
- Your competitor's library: their posts and their outliers, in their own directory card.
- Your Audit: the 0-100 score of your profile and your execution, with a checklist and advice.
- Your audience's sentiment: what the comments on your posts are saying, in the Comments view.
- Your first ideas: ask Scouty for them in the chat; it knows your pillars, your posts and your competition from the first analysis.
Meanwhile, the "Finish your setup" checklist in the sidebar flags your first steps: save your first idea, check your audit, explore your analytics, and add more accounts. You can skip it anytime.
If something doesn't finish
Sometimes an analysis doesn't complete on the first try. If that happens, a banner tells you plainly, with no made-up data, and we retry automatically every hour. You lose nothing and you can keep browsing as usual.
My directory still shows empty cards. Is something wrong?
If you just signed up, give it a few minutes: posts arrive as soon as the first analysis finishes. If you see the banner saying something failed, there's nothing you need to do, it retries every hour. If several hours pass with no change, write to us from Help & support in the sidebar.
Can I add more accounts later?
Yes. The Tracking directory has the "Track one of my networks" and "Track a competitor" buttons. Your plan includes a tracked-account allowance and you decide how to split it between your own and your competitors'; all we ask is that you keep at least one of each.
