How to search topics on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
Updated July 22, 2026

Topics lets you listen to what's working on any subject, not just specific accounts. You run a keyword search and ContentScout gathers the standout posts and the creators driving the conversation. It's ideal for spotting formats and angles that land in your niche, beyond the accounts you already follow. It's a Pro tool.
How to create a topic
Go to Topics
Tap New topic to open the search.
Enter your keywords
Describe the topic you want to follow and pick the platforms (TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube) and search options, like recency and region.
Confirm the search
Each search costs 2 credits. Scouty scans the platforms you picked in a few seconds.
Explore the results
Switch between the posts and creators tabs to see what stands out and who leads the topic.
Keep your topics fresh
Unlike the creators you track, which refresh every 24 hours, topics don't update on their own. When you want fresh results, re-run the search: it replaces the current results and uses 2 credits.
Save the posts you'll use with the bookmark to keep them in Saved. Topics is a Pro tool; it unlocks with an active subscription from Subscription.
