How to measure a campaign with posts and profiles
Updated August 23, 2026
Campaigns live in Campaigns, in the sidebar. A campaign is a group of posts you want to measure together: a product launch, a collaboration with several creators, a hashtag challenge. You tell it which posts and profiles take part, and ContentScout collects their metrics every day while the campaign is active. It's a higher-plan feature: if you don't see Campaigns in your sidebar, your plan doesn't include it yet.
Create a campaign
Tap "New campaign"
The button sits at the top right of Campaigns.
Give it a name and dates
The starting date can be today or up to 30 days ahead. The end date is optional: without one, the campaign keeps measuring indefinitely.
Add the profiles taking part
One profile URL per line (TikTok, Instagram or YouTube). Choose which posts to take from them: only the ones from the campaign period, or the whole account.
Add individual post URLs
If you already know the exact posts involved, paste them here. They're tracked regardless of their date, because you picked them by hand.
Create the campaign
If it starts today, the first scrape runs immediately and you'll see posts within minutes. If you scheduled it, it starts on its own on the starting date.
Only the campaign period is the typical case: influencers posting for you, where you only want what they publish during the campaign. Whole account is for accounts dedicated to the campaign, where everything they post counts (up to 60 posts).
What happens after you create it
From the first scrape on, the campaign refreshes every 24 hours, at roughly the same time you created it. Each refresh stores a snapshot of that day's metrics, and those snapshots are what build the evolution curve: that's why the chart needs a couple of days to take shape. Profiles are checked daily too, so a new post from a participant joins the campaign on its own.
- Scheduled: created with a future date, not measuring yet.
- Active: collecting data every day.
- Paused: you paused it; it stops collecting until you resume.
- Ended: its end date passed. It freezes with its final numbers and no longer refreshes.
Sources, quota and limits
At the top of Campaigns there's a tracked posts counter against the total your plan includes. That allowance belongs to the whole account: all your campaigns add up to it. If it fills, campaigns keep working but stop admitting new posts, so it's worth freeing space. Removing a source from Edit also removes its posts from the campaign and gives that allowance back.
A single campaign tracks up to 500 posts. That's plenty for a normal push; if you follow several very active profiles for months, that's the ceiling per campaign.
Pause, edit and delete
On a campaign's detail page you get Pause (stops collecting without losing what's already measured; the chart shows an honest gap on those days), Edit (name, end date, and adding or removing sources) and Delete (removes the campaign and its data, with no undo). To drop one specific post without touching its source, use the three-dots menu on its card in the Posts tab: it leaves the campaign, frees allowance, and the daily refresh won't bring it back.
Frequently asked questions
Can I measure posts from accounts that aren't mine?
Yes, and that's the main case: the profiles of creators collaborating with you, or the URLs of their posts. Only public metrics are read.
I added a profile and its older posts don't show up.
With the "Only the campaign period" scope, only posts published between the campaign's start and end come in. If you want everything the account has, edit the source and switch the scope to "Whole account".
What happens when a campaign ends?
It's marked ended and frozen: you keep all its numbers and its history, but it stops spending refreshes. If you want to keep measuring, remove or extend the end date from Edit.
I paused a campaign. Do I lose those days' data?
You don't lose what was already collected, but those days have no measurement, so they show as a gap in the daily evolution. When you resume, the campaign measures normally again.
Can I run several campaigns at once?
Yes, as many as fit in your tracked-posts allowance. In the list you can filter them by status and search them by name.
