How to unlock a post's transcript and analysis
Updated July 22, 2026
When a post from the creators you track or from a topic catches your eye, ContentScout lets you dig in two ways: pull the transcript (the video's spoken text) or generate the full analysis of the post. Each one is charged only once.
What you unlock
- Transcript: the video's full text. Costs 1 credit.
- Analysis: breaks down the post's style, hooks, and structure, with the hook, why it works, and why it's relevant to you based on your profile. Costs 2 credits.
How to do it
Open a post
From Competitors or a topic in Topics, tap the post you want to study.
Choose transcript or analysis
You'll see the option to pull the transcript (1 credit) or generate the analysis (2 credits).
Confirm the cost
Before charging you, ContentScout shows how many credits it uses. Confirm to continue.
Come back anytime
Once generated, reopening that transcript or analysis is free.
The cost is charged once per post. If you already generated the analysis, opening it again spends no credits.
Frequently asked questions
Can I generate only the transcript?
Yes. The transcript (1 credit) and the analysis (2 credits) are independent: pull just one or both.
The post has no transcript.
Some videos are music-only or have no speech, so there's no text to pull. On some networks transcripts aren't available either.
Where do the credits come from?
From your monthly balance. You can check how many you have left in Subscription.
Is the analysis the same for posts from creators and from topics?
Yes. In Competitors and in Topics you get the same breakdown: the hook, why it works, and why it's relevant to you.
