How to analyze any post by pasting its URL
Updated July 22, 2026

Not everything that inspires you comes from the creators you track in ContentScout. With Analyze a post you can paste the URL of any TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube post and get the same breakdown you see on your outliers: the hook, why it works, and why it's relevant to you.
Import a post step by step
Go to Competitors
The Analyze a post card sits at the top of the page.
Paste the post URL
Works with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube posts and videos.
Confirm the analysis
It costs 2 credits (fetch + analysis). You'll see the cost before confirming.
Read the result
ContentScout breaks down the hook, why it works, and why it's relevant to you based on your creator profile.
Imported posts are saved automatically to Saved, so you can come back to them anytime without paying again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I import the same post twice?
No need: if you already imported it, ContentScout lets you know and points you to Saved, where it remains available with its full analysis.
Which platforms are supported?
TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Pasting a URL from another platform shows an invalid-URL error.
